Epsom salt, a natural compound made from magnesium, sulphur and oxygen, helps relax muscles and relieve pain.
Since it contains magnesium, it can assist in the removal of toxins from the body. And since you are taking a bath in it, the magnesium also enters the body transdermally, reducing inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and pain
To use:
- Add 2 cups of epsom to a warm tub of water
- You can add essential oil, such as lavender to make it extra soothing
- Remain in the bath 15 to 30 minutes
- Be sure to rinse thoroughly since epsom may leave a residue
